Rory Caines Rory Caines
ETF Specialist

Rory Caines is a member of the JPM ETF Specialist team, based in Hong Kong. Rory is responsible for driving the growth of the firm’s ETF business across APAC by cultivating institutional client relationships and providing ETF product expertise.

Prior to joining JPM in 2020 Rory spent 7 years with BlackRock’s iShares business where he focused on helping clients understand and take advantage of ETF liquidity, as well as managing strategic relationships with banks and broker / dealer partners. Rory began his career in London before relocating to Hong Kong in 2015.

Rory received a BA (Hons) in History from the University of Leeds.

Francesco Chan Francesco Chan
Investment Specialist, Emerging Markets and Asia Pacific Equities (EMAP)

Francesco Chan, vice president, is an Investment Specialist within the Emerging Markets and Asia Pacific Equities (EMAP) team, based in Hong Kong. An employee since 2015, he is responsible for portfolio management communications across institutional and distribution client relationships. He has over a decade of experience in the asset management industry and was a client account manager for the institutional business before assuming responsibilities as an Investment Specialist for EMAP Equities.

Prior to JPMorgan, he was responsible for sales and business development at Bloomberg LP and GF International Investment Management. Francesco obtained a BSc in Management Sciences from London School of Economics.

Eric Cheng Mr Eric Cheng
Executive Director (Policy), Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority

Mr Eric Cheng is the Executive Director (Policy) of the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority (MPFA), responsible for formulating strategies, policies and legislative amendments to reform the Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) System for enhancing retirement protection for the working population. He oversees regulation of MPF investments, and steers MPFA’s participation in international cooperation.

Before joining the MPFA, Mr Cheng had been in the Administrative Officer grade with the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China, serving in various bureaux and departments and on secondment to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development.

Mr Cheng holds a master’s degree in public policy from the University of Oxford, and a master’s degree in economics and a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science from the University of Hong Kong.

Karen Chu Karen Chu
Founder of The Good Cake

Karen is the founder of The Good Cake, a bakery and dessert brand with a mission to eradicate elderly poverty. She is dedicated to making a difference, having donated 4.2 tonnes of rice and served over 65,625 hot meals to the elderly community.

Karen advocates for financial and social inclusion for the elderly through employment, service programs, food drives and most importantly, support from the community.

She believes in the power of a really, really good cookie.

Tai Hui Tai Hui
Chief Market Strategist, Asia Pacific

Tai Hui, Managing Director, is the Chief Market Strategist, Asia Pacific, for J.P. Morgan Asset Management. Based in Hong Kong and with over 15 years of experience in economic research, Tai formulates and disseminates J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s view on the market, economy and investing to financial advisors and investors, as well as to institutions across the Asia Pacific region. With his knowledge and experience, he is able to explain and illustrate complex economic and financial issues in a digestible way, primarily via the Market Insights program. He also regularly appears on international and local financial media, including as a guest host on CNBC Asia, as well as Bloomberg TV and Reuters TV.

Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, Tai served as the Regional Head of Research (Asia) with Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore, covering the economic and financial development of the Asia region, and delivering his analysis to corporate and institutional clients.

Tai obtained a BA in Economics from Cambridge University and a Master of International and Public Affairs from the University of Hong Kong.

Noriko Kuroki Noriko Kuroki
Investment Specialist, Emerging Markets and Asia Pacific (EMAP) Equities Team

Noriko Kuroki, Executive Director, is an Investment Specialist within the Emerging Markets and Asia Pacific (EMAP) Equities team, based in Hong Kong. She transferred from London to Hong Kong in April 2012. She then spent two years in Singapore between 2014 and 2015, before relocating back to Hong Kong in February 2016.

Prior to joining the team, she worked as a Portfolio Manager in the Japan Portfolio Group in London since 2004. Before that, she was a vice president in Japanese equity sales at JPMorgan Securities and an associate director in Japanese equity sales at UBS. Noriko obtained an M.A. in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University and is a CFA Charterholder.

Jennifer Kwan Jennifer Kwan
Senior Investment Specialist, Global Fixed Income Currency and Commodities

Jennifer Kwan, executive director, is a member of the Global Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities (GFICC) Group. Based in Hong Kong, she is a senior investment specialist and is responsible for communicating investment capabilities, strategy and performance to clients, consultants and internal partners across the Asia Pacific Region.

Jennifer has more than two decades of experience in the finance industry. She joins from Bank of China Group, where she was most recently Chief Project Manager at Bank of China Hong Kong Asset Management. Prior to that, she served as Chief Investment Officer at BOC Group Life Assurance from 2013 to 2020 and played a leadership role in the management of the group’s assets.

Jennifer has also worked in investment research and held leadership roles at Manulife and DBS. She started her career as an Asia Credit Research analyst at J.P. Morgan in Hong Kong. Jennifer holds a B.Sc Honor of actuarial science and statistics from the University of Western Ontario. She is also a holder of CFA, CAIA and FRM designations

Investment Specialist, US Equity Group

Christian Mariani, Executive Director, is an Investment Specialist in J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s US Equity Group. An employee since 2013, he is responsible for communicating investment strategy, performance and outlook to non-US domiciled clients as a product specialist for US Equities and is currently based in Hong Kong. Christian holds a BSc in International Business and a MSc in Management, Finance and International Business from the University of Bergamo (Italy) and is a CFA Charterholder.

Rachel Moy Rachel Moy
Head of Hong Kong Institutional Business

Rachel Moy, Executive Director, is Head of Institutional Business for Hong Kong at J.P. Morgan Asset Management. Ms. Moy is responsible for business developments with local institutions including endowments, insurance companies, corporate pensions, local statutory and government entities. She also oversees consultant relationships in Asia ex Japan.

Ms. Moy has been with J.P. Morgan for ten years, with seven years as an Institutional Client Advisor prior to taking up her current role.

Ms. Moy earned a BSc in Business Administration from the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business, and an MSc in Psychology and Neuroscience from King’s College London. She is also a CFA charterholder.

Elisa Ng Elisa Ng
Chief Executive Officer, Hong Kong, J.P. Morgan Asset Management

Elisa Ng, Managing Director, is Head of AM Hong Kong, as well as Head of Hong Kong Funds and Institutional Business for J.P. Morgan Asset Management. In her role, Elisa oversees the overall asset management business in Hong Kong and leads the strategic development of client businesses across direct clients, financial intermediaries and institutions in the region.

Elisa is a member of the firm’s Asset Management Asia Operating Committee. She has also served on the Executive Committee of the Hong Kong Investment Funds Association (HKIFA) since September 2017, working in close partnership with industry peers and regulatory bodies to develop the fund management industry in Hong Kong.

An employee since 2006, Elisa began as a client advisor with the Hong Kong retail sales team. She took responsibility of the Hong Kong Intermediary business in 2015 and was later appointed as the Head of Hong Kong and China Funds business in 2017. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, Elisa was a Market Risk Manager at the Royal Bank of Scotland.

Elisa holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Imperial College, University of London and a Bachelor of Engineering (Information Engineering) degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Vivian Sze Vivian Sze
​Investment Specialist, Asset Management Solutions

Vivian Sze, vice president, is an investment specialist in the Multi-Asset Solutions team, based in Hong Kong. In her role, Vivian is responsible for delivering the full range of multi-asset capabilities to prospective and existing retail and institutional clients, with a focus on Income strategies. Prior to this, Vivian was Business Manager to the Head of Asset Management Hong Kong and supported the strategic development of client businesses including financial intermediaries, institutions and direct clients.

An employee since 2015, Vivian began her career as a graduate analyst and held roles across Sales and Product Strategy. Vivian holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting from the New York University Stern School of Business and is a CFA charterholder.
